Cruising Toward Ocean Regeneration

Ayan Consulting and Ocean Ecostructures to Launch Strategic Partnership to Advance Ocean Regeneration in the Cruise Industry at Seatrade Cruise Global 2026

Istanbul, Barcelona, Miami — April 2026

Ayan Consulting and Ocean Ecostructures today announce a strategic ambassador partnership aimed at accelerating the adoption of measurable marine regeneration solutions across the global cruise industry.

The partnership, which commenced in March 2026, will be formally celebrated at Seatrade Cruise Global in Miami on 14 April 2026, where both parties will mark the collaboration on the sidelines of the event.

The partnership brings together Ocean Ecostructures’ innovative regenerative marine technology with Ayan Consulting’s industry expertise, network and positioning within the cruise sector. It is structured as a Cruise Strategic Ambassador model, aligned with outcomes and designed to support scalable deployment rather than traditional consultancy delivery.

At the core of the collaboration is a shared objective: to move beyond sustainability commitments towards tangible, verifiable environmental impact at port level, helping the cruise industry strengthen its path toward sustainability.

Ocean Ecostructures develops and deploys regenerative marine solutions that transform port and coastal infrastructure into thriving ecosystems, supported by AI-powered monitoring and ESG-ready reporting. These systems enable the measurement of biodiversity increase, biomass growth and carbon capture, providing cruise lines and ports with credible, science-based impact data. The environmental benefits turn into socioeconomic and business benefits, aligning economic growth and sustainability.

Through this partnership, Ayan Consulting will support Ocean Ecostructures’ entry into the cruise sector by facilitating strategic introductions, advising on industry positioning and contributing to the development of a structured programme for cruise lines and ports.

A central element of the collaboration is the joint development of programmes designed to enable cruise lines to actively contribute to marine regeneration in the destinations they serve — creating visible, verifiable impact that connects ports, operators and passengers around a shared purpose.

Figen Ayan, Keynote Speaker, Founder and Principal Consultant of Ayan Consulting, Seatrade Ambassador for Port Innovation and Community Engagement, and European Commission Expert for the Mission Restore Our Ocean and Waters by 2030, commented:

“After decades of building and operating port infrastructure, we are now entering a phase where ocean regeneration must become part of how we design and use these spaces. This partnership is about making that transition tangible - not through pledges, but through measurable action at port level.”

David Rodés Miracle, Chief Development Officer at Ocean Ecostructures, added:

“The cruise industry has a unique opportunity to play a leading role in ocean regeneration. By working directly with ports and operators, we can turn existing infrastructure into living ecosystems, demonstrating real environmental progress and generating valuable data to cruise companies.”

The timing of the partnership reflects a broader shift within the cruise sector, where regulatory expectations, destination pressures and guest demand are converging around the need for credible and demonstrable sustainability solutions.

By combining technology, industry access and narrative positioning, Ayan Consulting and Ocean Ecostructures aim to establish a new model for how environmental impact can be created, measured and communicated within the cruise ecosystem.

Ports, cruise lines and destination organisations wishing to explore participation in the first wave of pilot installations are invited to contact both organisations directly ahead of Seatrade Cruise Global 2026.
